When your little they put you in a chair with a mirror to look at yourself, a toy car with press able buttons that plays all your favorite thirty second songs, and little giraffes and bears that flop around as you spat at them with your tiny little fragile baby hands. And, all damn day you sit in that god forsaken chair, its fine for the first hour or two but after a while you just get so irritable and tired. These, toys no longer occupy your time; you just want to get out even though you can’t walk yet. You want to explore, and pull up and grab onto anything you can get your hands on, but when you do get the opportunity to get out, the world just tells you “no”. It tells you, “no stay with me.”
So for your own safety, the world picks you up and carries you away, and back to the order of things. You are after all under developed and still a young wee little thing parading away on the floor of the shaggy carpet, seeing the world with little wide eyes. And, now that you’re older everything is still a mystery because you never really fulfilled your curiosity. You still don’t know what’s really out there, or what kind of shenanigans you can really get yourself into. But, you feel as if you’re still restrained to that damn little chair. So now’s your chance to really get out, to break free all barriers, to tread water and be limitless, and free. But, where are you going to go? It doesn’t matter you tell yourself. Anywhere, but here.
